As you probably know the power of selling more products by giving more discounts on buying more will usually lower the margin but ends up with better profits — At the end of the day, what you need is profits.
Which way do you prefer?
- 1 Product * Normal Margin = Normal Profits
- 5 quantities of product + High discounts * Low Margin = More Profits
This is the theory behind this strategy — Also called Quantity Breaks Discounts or Volume Discounts.
Let's take a look on how to set up this with Upsell Funnel Engine.
You can set up this strategy by 2 methods
Method #1: Using Native Volume Discount
- Click
Create Funnel
and select a trigger product (What's a funnel trigger?)
- Give a funnel name to identify the funnels later.
- Click
Create Widget
> selectVolume Discount
> ClickContinue
- Create Offer Rows for each quantity (Each row represents the quantity and it's discount where customer can select and checkout)
Pro Tip #1:
Volume discount in UFE app by default works like range discount.
Consider the offer created below, it's 10% off if the customer takes 2 quantities, 20% for 3 quantities and next level is
30% for 6 Minimum quantities
So If the customer takes 3 - 5 quantities
then they will get a 20% Off
(Because it's the nearest level offer row discount)
And if the customer takes 6 or greater quantities
they will get 30% Off
Note: Currently there is no way to limit the maximum quantities customer can buy, it will be in our upcoming updates.Pro Tip #2:

Pro Tip #3:
Allow Variant Selection
and Allow Quantity Selector

Method #2: Using Normal Discount
It's not recommended to use this method
1. If you need the volume discount offer dynamic for all products in a collection.
2. If you need to let the customer select different variants for multiple quantities.
- We need to set a trigger product (What's a funnel trigger?) to invoke funnel.
- Give a funnel name to identify the funnels later.
- Select the same product and give Quantity and Discount and add the rows you need.
Note: This will only work best for one product store and no variants selection needed while buying multiple quantities
