Let's discuss the strategy!
 
Strategy Logic: Pushing customers to reject the main offer and suggesting an irresistible offer product

Step 1: Create an offer widget

Our strategy is to show an offer to customer and push them to reject the offer! How can we achieve it?
Show an offer that is not affordable by the customer!
  • We can show a product without discount
  • We can show a product with high price that customer can't afford!

Create a non-affordable cross-sell offer

  • Create a cross-sell offer with Popup style — This is the main offer
  • Select an high amount not affordable product
Ok, we've created main offer, now we are going to create downsell for this main offer.

Step 2: Create irresistible downsell

  • Click Add Downsell and select an offer type (you can change the offer type to bundle or any other offer, I am creating another simple cross-sell offer, you can also use Split test for downsells later)
  • Select the offer products for downsell
  • Give a better discount (it's better to give high discounts for downsell — more likely to increase conversions)
Create downsell offer and add offer products to it

  • Add a scarcity for downsell with a 10 minutes timer (optional)

Pro Tip! 
You can chain the downsells, you can create more than one downsells by simple clicking Add Downsell button.

It will work like, if customer rejects Main offer #1 then it shows Downsell #1 and customer again click rejects that offer, it will show next downsell on the queue Downsell #2 and so on.
